Abacus Ltd, the local full-service accounting firm, recently celebrated its 17th year in business with a special anniversary event.

A spokesperson said, “The evening brought together team members and clients for a themed celebration titled ‘ACE’ – Abacus Celebrates Excellence – in the firm’s new office space at Thistle House in the centre of Hamilton. Guests participated in games of Crown & Anchor, savoured nibbles from local establishments, and raised a toast with the featured accountancy-themed cocktail, Excel on the Beach.

“The event underscored Abacus’s role as a pillar of support for a diverse clientele, all of whom rely on the firm for their financial needs.”

“We could have waited until our 20th anniversary to celebrate our growth, but we are accountants! We like to keep things interesting, and we believe 17 has its own unique charm,” said Megan Nesbitt, President of Abacus. “This celebration is more than a milestone; it is a testament to the strong relationships we have built and the community we have cultivated. Our clients are at the heart of Abacus, and it was an absolute pleasure to celebrate with them in such a fun setting.”

Ms Nesbitt also expressed her gratitude to the team, “To our hardworking staff, who keep our clients happy, and our deadlines met — your dedication, precision, and heart make this firm what it is. You are truly the backbone of Abacus’s success.”

The spokesperson said, “Having doubled its team size in recent years, Abacus is excited to continue enhancing its services in 2025. The firm is committed to delivering even more value and innovative solutions to meet clients’ needs, and they are also aiming for their 10th consecutive win in The Bermudian’s Best of Bermuda Award for Best Accounting Services.”
